The Health
Science Technical Assistance and Research (HealthStar) Consortium is
comprised of 22 organizations working in the international health
field. Member organizations include U.S. universities, private sector
firms, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and community-based
organizations (see chart below). As a consortium, the HealthStar
Partners share a joint mission to provide appropriate services using
scientifically and socially sound health principles.
The HealthStar
Partners are recognized leaders in the design, implementation and
management of projects involving health sector reform; human resource
development; HIV/AIDS, TB, and malaria; treatment adherence; primary
health care delivery; hospital and diagnostic services; continuing
medical education; and monitoring and evaluation.
Medical Service
Corporation International (MSCI) serves as the Managing Partner of the
HealthStar Consortium. The U.S. Agency for International Development
(USAID) has awarded MSCI an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) under the
Global Health Technical Assistance Support Contract 3 (TASC3 IQC). The
HealthStar Consortium is prequalified to bid on Task Orders issued under
the TASC3 IQC in the areas of:
